It's only one day in-game, but there's quite a bit of variation in who you interact with/how. I hate downloading first releases that are just two minutes of content, so I worked hard to make sure that's not the case here.

Every tag does have at least one scene in the game right now though.

Read the description in the OP, sounds legit! I look forward to trying this out. As I've said before - I'll try just about any RP game that has a male MC and isn't based on sissification/being transformed into a girl, and/or NTR.

For a first release, there's quite a bit of content regarding multiple paths. Though I'll probably end up waiting till the week is complete. I also expect there to be a potential route where the PC gets hit with the brown spell or a route where a rival springs up and gives the game an extra challenge.

Also thought this was familiar so I checked TFGamessite, turns out it just shares the same name as 2 other games on there, one from 2009 and the other from 2016.

I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure of the future, these things are never certain, but I have high hopes for it. I enjoyed this, I'll be keeping an eye on it.)

edit: ok I mean, right after you change it to mother, the introduction still treats Mrs Maywood as friend's mother. So I just left it as friend's mother, but later on when you go shopping with the two milfs, the text says she is your mother.

Good lord writing a walkthrough for this beast is going to be a headache. So many branching paths! (Ok I know most of the various choices just give differing amounts of variable points, but still, options!)

So I just replayed it to test it and you're right, there were some missing variables at the mall, so thanks for that catch. I just want to reiterate to you though that changing 'mother's friend' to 'mother' 'mom' or anything else will not trigger incest content. The only way you can do that is by typing 'related' in that field or 'cheatrelated' to trigger that and max energy, etc.

It's funny how you realized that number doesn't mean anything yet you deny that realization and you still attach so much meaning to it.

Just get it in your head v0.1 or v1 or v0.000001 can all be the same thing, or not.
v1 doesn't mean the game is 100% complete
v0.01 doesn't mean the game is 1% complete

The only thing you can assume with some certainty is that v0.0002 will have more content than v0.0001, because 0002 > 0001.

I'm going to sound kind of harsh here but I promise there's no malice behind this.

In its current state, this game is going to fail. The biggest issue that new developers face even outside the adult genre is that they have "eyes bigger than their belly" so to speak - they give themselves too much to do.
Those 10 branching paths now only seem like 10 scenes worth of work but then you'll branch off again and now it's 30 scenes. It's easy to literally write yourself into a corner because you're so interested in making the game open world. Even the professionals do this and it's a hell to manage as a project manager.

My advice would be to reign this WAY back in terms of scope. Focus on getting a linear story together featuring very few girls/scenes and then go back and bulk it out as you go along. It's like a cake. You have to bake the spongey boring bit before you can start adding all the decorations and cherries to it.

Your game is structurally a problem as you're either going to have to make all these early choices mean very little to the player, which will frustrate them, or you will have to keep track of so many variables over the course of your development that you'll give up because it will literally drive you insane.

Some strong advice that I was once given by a now well respected professional game designer, was to keep chopping away and away at your story until you have something that you cannot chop at any more and maintain it. This serves as the main trunk of your tree which everything will branch from. The reason games like A Spell For All and Son of a Bitch have such large stories is because they're actually NOT a story but instead a world with a collection of very small stories that rely on each other's completion very loosely. The world was built first and then populated backwards.

I just want to reference the Hero's Journey story archetype here as it fits the overall idea of what I'm getting at. Pic related.




So far in your story you have essentially completed the whole first Act. We've got the Call to Adventure (going to college), the Supernatural Aid (seeing/absorbing the lights to corrupt) and Crossing the Threshold (meeting with the succubus). That's a break neck speed when you then compare it to how many iterations of that journey are possible in your story. You've made Act One very short but very dense, I'd argue that the opposite is a better path to development. Less content but more structure to build the world and then add the content as you go. Basically you've got 10 Act Ones which will then require 20 Act Twos and 40 Act Threes.

Content for content's sake is not really that helpful to the game. Establish the world better with a much smaller list of characters and spells that you can effectively manage, and once their stories are up and running then retroactively add more. This also gives you the benefit of encouraging the player base to go back and replay older content meaning that updates are seen as bulkier than the latest "skip to content, complete in 10 minutes" thing that is becoming too common.

You can't design large worlds up front, not even Tolkien could. You have to forge a small path through the forest and then over time allow your world to branch off from it.
