• Slavery is still practiced on some places, either on whole regions on a "open fashion", or on big cities on a "hidden way".
• There were always rules for slavery in most societies that accepted it. At worst, a slave is equal to an animal that it's owner uses for money making, so while you would suffer nothing for doing something against a slave alone, their owner could easily fuck you because "this person screwed with my property".
