I only played one route in this update.I'm sure he's still the main villain. Seymour will "reveal his cards" at the right time.

I mean it's not even specifically woman's fantasy. As if guys don't lap up all that power fantasy isekai drivel where they get randomly hit by a truck and wake up in new world, now all special and admired by everyone, with women dropping their panties at the mere sight of them. Why are you surprised that's the average woman's fantasy.![]()
Wait....that's just a fantasy?I mean it's not even specifically woman's fantasy. IIRC Seymour meets Lena at public photo exhibition. The photos were taken by one of Lena's friends, neither Axel nor Ivy had anything to do with it.Seymour, Alex and Ivy and perhaps Jack who we saw are the antagonists of the story. remember that at the beginning it was Ivy who suggested that Lena do a photo shoot, I think.
It was the thin man who took the pictures. "Danny" perhaps?IIRC Seymour meets Lena at public photo exhibition. The photos were taken by one of Lena's friends, neither Axel nor Ivy had anything to do with it.
Honestly this romantic turn is a bit hard to believe considering he has been set up to be this story's antagonist and possibly tries to blackmail Lena into the contract. Personally if this was the direction she wanted to take the route instead of being so antagonistic like I described he should have been trying to temp her with the good life harder instead. This could lead to the possible Emma "corruption" being more believable. The execution just seems really off. Unless this is just a ploy to have Lena lure Emma to him.
yes exact it's Danny and she meets Seymour at the exhibition. but then you have the choice to work for Seymour or not. I completely forgot about it lol.IIRC Seymour meets Lena at public photo exhibition. The photos were taken by one of Lena's friends, neither Axel nor Ivy had anything to do with it.
Well...technically Seymour sees her the first time when Axel appears at the restaurant accompanying Seymour. I don't think that is ever referenced in the game, but he knew she worked there when he was taking her they during their first meeting.yes exact it's Danny and she meets Seymour at the exhibition. but then you have the choice to work for Seymour or not. What do you mean for reasons? The reason is simple: for money/power.Perhaps she is just trying to avoid the trope of "evil capitalist, does evil, for reasons..."
Maybe future Wade?Still waiting for that Non-meat bag male character for lena. There is no non-shitty love route for Lena not including Ian.
It gets referenced by Lena later in the game. She remembers him being with Axel.Well...technically Seymour sees her the first time when Axel appears at the restaurant accompanying Seymour. Also of course Seymour is the one who block Lena from pretty much every other job and gets her fired from the Restaurant to pressure her to work for him (which is also never really referenced so far).
Fun Fact - Eva was inspired by KC and made GGGB.I should try replaying the game refusing to work for Seymour and see what happens. It's true that for the moment all the paths I have taken I have each time agreed to work for him lol. The Seymour/Lena relationship reminds me of an old game Katie's Corruption, I don't know if most people know this game, I think so
Money and power are means, not ends. What do you mean for reasons? The reason is simple: for money/power.
I'd argue power can be an end by itself. A character could simply pursue it for ego or the ability to bend others to their will without being able to say no.Money and power are means, not ends.
A character might want to acquire money so they can lord it over a hated foe, or explore unknown regions no one has ever been to, or to have the greatest collection of <whatever>.
A character might want to acquire power so nobody can ever hurt them again, or because they think they understand things better than anyone else, and only they can guide a group/nation/humanity through clashing rocks.
All too often antagonists in fiction are left with cloudy motivation and generally only exist to provide the protagonist someone to fight and ultimately defeat. I find this shallow and ultimately unfulfilling, I don't just want to know what the antagonist wants to do, to me I want to know WHY they are doing it. I appreciate that not everyone cares about this, c'est la vie.
Damm thats disappointingas far as i know she sends that picture only if you dont make a move on her first and jeremy is the first one who banged her. idk about the non performing part.

IMO this trope of moral grey area for antagonists is overdone lately. Some stories are made worse for the sake of the villain having a sympathetic backstory. I think it's fine to just let your bad guys be bad guys sometimes.
With a character like Seymour though, I can see some people expecting a machiavellian 5D chess reason for being the way he is... so fair enough. He certainly talks a big game. Personally I don't mind him pursuing power for the sake of power.
True, I'm more excited about Author than for Seymour now after the new update. These are not examples of power for it's own sake, in your first example it is because it grants them the warm and fuzzy feeling of people fawning over you, and in the later it is having people kowtow to you. You probably can't drill down into their motivations any further, as at some point the answer just becomes, because it make (figuratively speaking) areas of brain light up, and the wiring of the brain is just something which is super mysterious to us right now.
It also doesn't have to lead to morally grey antagonists. Just because group X shat on the antagonist from a great height when they were growing up, doesn't justify whatever terrible things that the antagonist does to them when the roles are reversed. You can understand someone's motivations and still think they are a massive piece of shit.
I do agree that Seymour is looking less and less likely to be the master chess player, but who knows?
