  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Interesting. It's your word against Mercutio; he seems a little more reasonable than what you're saying, too.

Just to settle it, I assume you've got evidence that no personal information is required? I mean, if you're registering a complaint then surely one must have to hand over some information; as was pointed out before, it cannot possibly be enough simply to say, "that guy did it!" and expect people to take one seriously.

Isn't that what the form is for?

The cops ask him things like "WHERE DO YOU LIVE"

He doesn't have to respond, he could fill out the form, but they refuse to give him one

Like I said, you dont have to give anyone your personal information, if you do you are stupid, there is no law that says you have to give anything.

He requested a form, they would not give him one

    Simple as that.

According to the ACLU website, some states require you to give your name:

Perhaps it is not as clear-cut as you would like it to be. Mercutio makes some good points; the way that people interact with the police will go a long way to determining whether they are civil in return.

I've had at least four dealings with the police; twice, I gave statements. The third time, I was stopped while driving. The fourth time, I was asked what I was doing (I was, in fact, releasing a mouse in the local park at about 2am, so no wonder). Each time I was civil and polite, and the policemen and women in question were nothing but civil back to me.

    It's as simple as that.

The way we interact with police shouldn't determine anything.

They are there to protect and serve the people.

Their paycheck comes from me working

If I dont want to give any personal information I do not have to

Well, apparently in some states you do have to.

You're right, though; in a perfect world, they shouldn't change how they treat people based on their behaviour, or their cultural or racial demographic, but we don't live in a perfect world. Regardless of that, however, they should be treated civily for reasons of common human decency if nothing else.

It's a funny thing, but people who you treat with courtesy tend to respond in kind.

On a number of occasions I have been stopped and frisked by the police. If they want to examine a bag I am carrying I let them. I say, "Yes sir," "No sir," "That's right, officer," and so on. I have no problems with them. If you're not doing anything wrong, you've got nothing to fear.

I went to that website, it says if you are stopped for questioning you may have to identify yourself.

Nowhere does it say if you want to file a complaint you have to provide any kind of personal information.

I didn't say it did; don't try and deflect the point.

However, I couldn't find anything anywhere that said that you didn't have to give any personal information to file a complaint.

I'm not deflecting anything, in your post you inferred that this site had all the answers, it doesn't have anything even related to what I am talking about, so if you are talking about deflecting, blame yourself.

However, just because you cannot find the information, doesn't mean that you do, because there is NOTHING that says you have to provide personal information to anyone at anytime, and like I said if you do, you are stupid.

Is that all you got? You came in here with some bullshit fuckin website hoping it had some information and it doesn't have jack shit.

Cmon kid try harder I know you got it in ya, defend these dickless pricks because I am sure you are one yourself.

Can you even remember the title of this thread.
As your rights are enshrined in your constitution and bill of rights then yes you did imply that this is about the constitution.

You are like most spineless idiots who shout and scream that the police are trampling all over your rights, but who do you turn to when things aren't going your way, when that nasty guy shoves a sawn-off under your nose and demands you empty your cash register, and don't try telling me you would pull out your Glock, a fuck wit like you would only shoot himself in the foot.

The officers did ask that man to identify himself. He refused. They now have the law-given authority to detain him for further questioning. Like it or not, they're called "the authorities" for a reason: They hold the authority.

What's more, that snide little comment you made about paying their paycheck? They pay taxes, too. In fact, they get more taken out of their paycheck than you would if you were paid the exact same hourly wage at Wal-Mart. They have mandatory healthcare, mandatory pensions, mandatory equipment fees. That all comes out of their paycheck, of which they, too, are paying a portion. Not to mentioned they get paid a crap wage for the high-risk, high-stress job they perform.

For instance, when was the last time, in your line of work, you casually approached someone only to have them immediately draw a handgun and place three rounds in your chest? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, "Never." When a building is being barricaded from within, and hostages are being held by schizophrenic Meth addicts armed to the teeth and spoutin' gibberish about how the Devil talks to them in their dreams, are YOU the guy they call to breach the house and storm those psychotic tweakers? Again, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, "No."

Yes, as an American citizen, you pay taxes. Of your tax money, a penny or two MAY go to support your local law enforcement. Yeah.. How much civility do you expect from Customer Service at your local Corporate Office when you've paid a grand total of $5 to them in the last few years? Far less than those officers showed that troublemaker with the spycam!

And, just fyi, it IS legal for you to be detained and arrested for not cooperating with law enforcement, including not giving them your name, not providing a valid form of identification when prompted, and falsifying your personal information (for when you feel -really- clever, Mr. Isey Veener).

To touch more specifically on the paperwork issue, I know firsthand the bureaucracy and politics involved in law enforcement. If it is their policy to take a statement and gather your personal information prior to giving you the complaint form (and it is), you do NOT have a choice in the matter. You will either comply with their policy, or you can do exactly what those officers told the man in the video: "Get out of my station."

One thing you have forgotten in you desire to make a complaint and not give any personal information.

How will the police contact you to tell you that a tribunal is set and they need you to give evidence?

If you'd read the other five paragraphs, you'd know that you don't have to be arrested, simply detained. The very act of refusing to supply the information when requested by a uniformed police officer can directly lead to an arrest. As the one officer stated, "failure to comply."

You have far fewer rights than you think you do, and far more than many of the other countries of this world. If you don't like it: Get out of my country. I hear Mexico is nice this time of year, if you don't mind getting your head cut off by the Cartels..

So you are saying a cop can walk up to you, ask you your name, address, and social, and if you do not provide you can be arrested?

People like me stand up for injustice, this country was built on liberty and freedom, not some dickless fat fucks interpretation of the law.

1: As previously stated, it is not policy to simply hand out a complaint form. A statement must be taken, along with basic contact information. That's their policy. It doesn't matter if you don't like it.

2: Yes, if the officer has probable cause, you can be arrested for refusing to cooperate with law enforcement. Given that man's suspicious demeanor and erratic behavior, I.e. refusing to listen when things were explained and hanging around after he was instructed to leave (not to mention saying the idiotic phrase, "Or what?"), the officers had justifiable reason to detain and/or arrest that man. That is the law.

3: This country was built on the backs of religious extremists, puritanicals, slaves, immigrants and criminals. Who paid for and directed this development? Fat white men. Who runs this country? Those with the most money. But you keep going with that civil liberties dogma of yours. I'm sure it'll make all the other Wal-Mart employees feel better when they "rally against the injustice of their indentured servitude," right up until "Big Bang Theory" starts back up, then your ass is on its own. :p

Oh, and just as an addendum: I don't roll over and give up; I'm one of 'em!
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Burner.

If the police are asking this guy what he wants to report, he is being stopped for questioning. He is refusing to say what it is about and won't identify himself.
