Well, if that is what you meant its ok with me. But the point of my comparison is the timeline that both Devs provided.
We have a dev that completes his project (even though with slight delays), and the other one just keeps on stretching out the timeline with no concrete end in sight (or if it will ever end) .

But vh was always a non-commercial work by random people on the internet. There is also vh discord and some guys are still working on mv remake, but yeah it takes ages...

People are actually supporting him he is getting paid last time I remember he had patreon and over 15 thousand people paying there the least amount of sub payment is roughly 6 or 5 dollars(don't remember well this was 2 or 1 year ago) and each month they are paying so he is rich at this point that's why he is milking this...

he has currently 30.038 subs on Patreon but there is 1$ option which i believe 95% of his subs use. It's still an insane income to get roughly 30k a month just by half-heartedly pushing erotic artwork out there that hasn't changed for years.

I mean by the strictest definition STS is also 'non-commercial' since every dime DC gets are donations. He isn't selling the game after all. So let's say the VH remake people start accepting donations to help them support to make said remake, but the game will still be free, then they wouldn't really be any different.

if people would have stopped donating, he would have abandoned the game already. This is his income now. He doesnt work. This is his work. So on one side he probably is scared to finish the game because he fears that his source of income might stop in the future.
But somehow he is fine with a disgruntled fanbase that just throws him a dollar a piece and then slow-releases a "game cleanup" instead of new content.
By the pace he is going right now, he finishes that "clean up" by 2026....only the cleanup. and you can cry all you want, because he earns +30k$ a month doing so. Why people are supporting this, is crazy. NLT gaming is actually pushing out their 4th game already. This guy is working on the same game since 2016.

Comparing different developers with different visions and different operations and different business models is like comparing Nike to Coca Cola. It's in Nike's best interest to churn out new styles every year. Whereas it's in Coca Cola's to "always" make sure their signature flavor continues, "always" - while adding subtle differences along the way.
Again, it's a free game - not just to the 'pirates' here, but to everyone directly from the developer. People can go find a plethora of other things to play and just check in every year or so to see what's going on here, if they want. To expect something more, something different, from this developer after 8 years of knowing this is how this developer works is simply unreasonable.

Nah, they have some kind of a law against it xdd. A lot of people asked them how to donate and they always refuse. Actually the guy that made violated princess was working on vh initialy, but then he got greedy and wanted to cash out, but other guys refused and kicked him out lol.
So yeah the difference is big between them and DC. One wants to milk to infinity having a patreon page and other donation sites, and vh devs don't. Still both are having abysmal production speed that's for sure.

At the very least, both VH and STS aren't Innocent Witches. So they got that going for themselves. They actually have some proper content.

There is no "difficulty switch."
If you mean you can only choose one mode to start the game - "preview" mode - for v21.0.0, that is because the minigames and the stats part of the tech update hasn't been migrated at this time. Hence, if you played without preview mode, you would not be able to advance because skills and money wouldn't be available.
