EastEnders fans believe they have ‘worked out’ a link between recent returnee David Wicks’ (Michael French) link to a mysterious woman called Holly.
Actor Michael French has reprised his role as the Walford lothario for a short guest stint, which has seen his character return to Albert Square to support his daughter Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) amid concerns for her mental health.
In Monday’s episode of the BBC soap, David was seen rejecting a call from ‘Holly’ just before he came face-to-face with former flame Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) after 27 years.
Why Holly’s identity remains a mystery – for now anyway – fans have speculated she is connected to David’s son Joe Wicks (Paul Nicholls).

David mentioned Joe during a discussion with Bianca earlier in the episode, and there has been speculation on a Reddit thread that Holly could be Joe’s daughter.
‘I think wife/girlfriend is most likely. But suppose it could be a secret daughter or even granddaughter from Joe maybe,’ one fan suggested.
Another wrote: ‘Granddaughter by Joe is what I reckon.’
A third said: ‘I’d actually love to see Joe drop by the Square for a visit, to see what’s become of him. David passing through would be a good excuse for that.’
Another added: ‘Please bring back Joe! I was obsessed with Paul Nicholls!’

Joe was last seen in Walford in 1997, as he left the Square with mum Lorraine Wicks (Jacqueline Leonard) a year after his introduction.
He was previously mentioned when David returned to Albert Square in 2012, with David revealing he’d lost contact with Joe but knew he had a girlfriend and two children.
