It's much less you getting eaten, and more that whatever the thing is in the promotional art wants to psychologically and mentally tear you down.
It literally devours your soul and has you starting over to discover new routes...

It REALLY started getting to me when I NEEDED to think outside the box to uncover new routes.

Apparently whoever you're playing as hates themselves very much and if they self-loath themselves too much that hatred personifies itself and you have to start over...

It was so mentally taxing on me I needed to take an break from it for a couple years: This game fucks with your head and really tries to tear you down.

Gods, this thing should honestly come with an suicidal thoughts warning cause it did a number on me. Was pure agony.

if you've got multiple insecurities this game'll definitely hit you like an armored freight train.

An heads up about hungry house:
It's adult in an more sinister way, do spread the word that YOU NEED to be mentally prepared when diving into this game.

It will try anything and everything to break you down on an mental level,
and with how complex some of the puzzles get? You will be beating yourself up.

I quit midway through because this was very unhealthy for me...
If I'm being honest? I never want to touch the title again because of what it did to me...

Giving a warning here. Bitdefender flagged this as not only malicious, but specifically, as exhibiting ransomware behavior. It tried to encrypt numerous Nvidia related files the moment I booted it.

More notably, I played an earlier version of this from Kemono and had no such issues. This problem only occurred with this version.

I appreciate you actually doing the legwork that I very much did not. I'd have added what Bitdefender had to say on it in terms of details, but it is woefully scant with such things. For an Antivirus focused program, it's astoundingly bad at giving any information at all on what supposed potential viruses are doing. In this case, it only showed what was supposedly being encrypted. It's never flagged anything as ransomware, though, so it's still quite the oddity.
