My bad guys, totally forgot i unpacked with UnRen.

If I want to unpack a game, I'll usually do that first before adding URM to it: step 1) install the game; step 2) unpack it; step 3) get rid of the (now unpacked) *.rpa files; step 4) add URM.

On the other hand: even after unpacking URM it still "should" work most of the time, but I'd rather use URM as it's supposed to be used instead of fiddling with it... ;-)

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

Please see the very first post after the OP, especially the section "Reporting an issue". From your post we don't know what version of URM you're using, what game you're trying to use URM with and so on, so most probably nobody will be able to help you.

0x52 Boehser Onkel theMickey_ I got this error when I wanted to enable textbox. No error before that though. In the game maids and maidens.

Edit : when i disable the image there is no error. This textbox thing is really cool. I can change the text border colour anything helps with many games where the texts are blurry... Thank you 0x52

so i didt the update in the mod and then did a fresh dl of the mod from here but im having issues.

edit : tested around 15 other games - all good
must be the renpyversion , would be good to know wich the other game was

Hey there, I tried this mod in The arson betrayal and it is giving me an error whenever I enable Textboxes.

I get this error whenever there is extend in the script. for example

hazun2 "What about the body?"

i just tried it on another game it seemed to work fine i will keep you posted if i run into it again

So unless the dev of the game changes the Ren'Py version of the game, you're out of luck unfortunately.

What "impassable" error do you get? Because I just tried the game with URM, and it seems to work so far with no issues (I have just played a bit to test it, so I'm not sure if there are any issues later on). Maybe share your traceback.txt logs or a saved game which gives you issues...?!

I highly doubt that's the case. The version available on F95 is 23.5.0 (without the "g") and it has a lot (I mean, A LOT) of bugs from what I can see in the game's thread, and some of them have to do with events not triggering. The version available on Patreon is 23.5.0g which contains a couple of fixes for those bugs (see here for example).

• What version are you playing (F95: 23.5.0 vs. Patreon: 23.5.0g)?
• Are you sure it's not a bug in the base game -- have you tried playing without URM to see if you have the same issues?

i playing Patreon: 23.5.0g that version and yes i am 100% sure its not from the base game because on 23.5.0 with out the g and the older version that event with anna triggers fine.And after i dit deinstall URM on the new version the event triggers fine to try to trigger it with this save and the newest URM installed.
but you need version 23.5.0g of the game not 23.5.0
no i dint change anything the event triggers fine at 55 date score with out URM with URM it not triggers at 70% date score

if i just search the keyword Anna in this thread , i get atleast 8 posts about bugs with the questline on the first 2 pages
so yeah ...
i am not gonna test this game , but i am 100% sure it´s not URM itself what causes this ...

So... those games are related. Boehser Onkel already found the issue. It seems like they're using a very old "scriptversion" to support .mpg movies I think!?

Easy fix:
Edit the "game/script_version.txt" file and change the content from "(6, 99, 8)" to "(6, 99, 14)".
I'm not going to guarantee it will work perfectly, but it should be fine.
