Maya & Josy do their best to hide their relationship. And they never make out publicly. So, what's the reason and point of doing such thing with Sage? And being at risk if someone will see it (knowing there are Quinn around, knowing that Josy may see it, whatever else).
During short drinking game (before blackout) MC have an option to ask something one of 4 girls once. If he pick Josy and dare her to make out with Sage, then Sage w/o any doubt immediately doing this, and it's a big surprise to Maya, check her face expression. If she would ready to do the same, she wouldn't be so surprised.
On J&M branch during final "large" truth-dare-or drink game MC is able to ask both girls about who they find the hottest in the HOTs. Maya's answer - Sage. While Josy (question about potential 4-some) calls Sage, Liliy and Jill.
They don't have cheating issues and never mentioned that they want to find some girls for fun. Being out of Throuple - their thoughts are mostly for MC, not Sage or somebody else.
Regarding Maya & HOTs. Don't forget about Arieth and the fact that she probably will leave the college very soon, so it sound more like Maya will share room with Ashley then. Or they may ask Heather or Ashley to move to one room and then occupy another together.
He mentioned some time ago, that he store all his work, assets, scenes, whatever else in cloud. I suppose for both rendering distribution and backup purposes.

Well, maybe not 10, but I'll drop a few notes while I'm here on a rare visit.
Just as with the preview of the Heather lewd scene, DPC was having a little fun on Discord and dropped this presumed preview from Episode 10:

I'll let you be the judge. But based on precedent, I'll bet we see this somewhere in the next episode.
Unsurprisingly, many of the same discussions here on F95 also appear on Discord, one of which is the whole Quinn vs. Stephen "all the Quinn simps would overlook Stephen's evil deeds if he had her looks."

He does want to add more to the episodes so you could be right. But I agree. I think mid to late summer is a likely scenario, as long as he doesn't run into any bugs that are hard to fix.
Well yeah, but the reason it is said that way is to put into perspective how long 9 months is. It's easy to say "at least it's not 12 months", but when you put it into perspective comparing it to years which had up to 3 releases in a year, it shows how much development has slowed down.
Yeah, I mean like I said in the above part, this kinda proves my point. Between 2020 and 2021 DPC released FIVE episodes. If you extend that from 2020 to this moment in 2023 (almost a year and a half longer), that number becomes seven episodes, INCLUDING the Interlude, which has less renders than Episode 1 and shorter animations than Episode 3. The fact that there have been 7 episodes since 2020 isn't a testament to how consistent the release cycle has been, its a testament to how much faster episodes 4-8 took to develop.
Judging by the fact that DPC keeps saying each chapter will be shorter than the last and then taking longer or the same each time, my prediction is more like 9+. If he can't get this episode below 9 months, I don't really see him doing it for future episodes where the story has spread out even further. Even with the minigames being completed, DPC always has a new quest that takes up a ton of development time and makes it way longer than he predicted. Not hating, just being realistic.
I can agree on that, and even more than that it is DPC's project so he can do it however he wants, but I think it's reasonable to say that development has been slower than it was in the past. I'm not asking for it to be 3 month releases, but Episode 7 and 8 had record high renders per week of development, however Episode 9 kinda nosedived after that and Episode 10 doesn't look much better. I think there's a lot of reasons for the longer development times that don't necessarily correlate to a better product.
The split pathing has probably had a significant impact on development time, and some people will argue "but split pathing has led to more replayability which results in episodes having more hours of content", but I don't really agree with that argument. People will say "the new episode has 25 hours of content", but it more like 5 hours of new content on your first playthrough, then 5 hours of playing the next playthrough for 30 minutes to an hour of new content, then repeat 3 more times.
Then there's DPC's recent attraction to more, bigger free roams which probably aren't the easiest thing to develop (and again just pad the consecutive playthroughs), as well as more, longer animations which are a notorious bottleneck for development. The one thing I think probably also contributes to the longer development time that kinda does correlate to a better product is the minigames he's making, but many people don't even like those. I could give or take them but I do think they improve the product by breaking up the action. However, I'd give up all of these things to just have a 5-6 month development cycle similar to episode 7 and 8, which weren't bad episodes in any way shape or form.
Of course, like I said before, this is DPC's project and he enjoys challenging himself with long animations and complex free roams, so my response to that is "oh well, it is what it is". I don't hate DPC, but I won't pretend like the new development process hasn't been objectively slower than the past, even considering the "improvements" to the product.

I'm curious, I never had the heart to do this to Jill myself after I saw this picture so I wonder, did anybody here get the lower picture result and play Episode 9 with that save? Is there any big fallout to this or is it more or less the same as with the top picture?

No signs of this. It felt more like a scene emphasizing Jill's neatness and inexperience in these matters. No STD related variables, since it's still could be managed by checking for specific lewd scenes variables, I don't see it will come in play, at least at this moment. May be if MC will continue his manwhore playthrough, then he will be punished somehow at the game finale. But any middle of the game STD/non-STD branching seems not realistic to me.
It's still exciting, but we are limited by lewd scenes and their amount, which game creator (DPC) is planned. They are not "procedure-generated" so, always limit your fantasy and expectations. You'll be very lucky if there's any choice at all and it's not just hard written in the plot. I may bet on Quinn (they already had threesome in EP8), and... maybe, if DPC would like to add a real drama - it would be Josy. The rest - any of HOT's girls like Sarah or Melanie, Lily and Elena too. But don't expect more than 2 options - and it's the best you would get. Maybe he will spread this "options" between several episodes, it's a good version and option too. But I meant one single episode by saying of options.

J&M story and branch one of the sweatest, imo. Speaking of "compatibility" and their potential future, despite the throuple thing it's one of the most matched choice and relationships. Their social status are about the same or very close to each other, they have issues with families or with parents. But it's not Jill's case, which somekind repeates Neil story with Lynette. Nor problematic Bella (age, work, mystery with her past and husband), and Sage, which graduates in half of a year and her family as a bonus.

Familial connections. Jill's family will have known the MC's mother in some manner. DPC has strictly said there will be no incest in the game. So don't expect Jill to be related by blood.

I don't think that's true at all. She's clearly awkward with romance but this is still what she wants.
