You have to download both to generate a final save. Previous versions don't allow that.

or

open run command (win key+R) and type %appdata%
it will open a folder in that renpy/awam_part2/paste here
this is where most of our save files n cache r loaded even after uninstalling the game

Look at the size of part 1. The game is being split to get the download size back down to a more manageable one going forward. After this it will be one download again but a much smaller one.
