I don't really understand the question.
According to what is known so far, there will be two paths, one where Max is (probably) friends with Eric and one where he openly oposes him.
The plan for the **OLD** build was, that at some point Eric gets kicked out one way or another (it was only implemented on war path, but never finished on the others).
But since he is Ann's boss, he would still be a nuissance in the future. So yeah, he will be part of the story and no, you don't necessarily see him screw the girls. Most substory arcs don't involve him in the first place, he is not the center of the game.
Yeah, thx again. Just wanted to make sure there'll be such options (trick/war) in this rebuild. Although, it’s not like there were any big doubts about it, considering that this game, it seems, is not positioned as some ntr sim.
P. S. btw, is it correct that new updates are not compatible with saves from current version? Thought try to play 0.0.7, but not sure if it will be better to wait for 0.0.8, which should be released not too far, I guess?

Yes, this is by design. This gives the dev the freedom to add or modify content at the beginning of each chapter until that chapter is complete. You could say that the updates we get now are all parts of the same big update.
To avoid replaying the game with each update, wait until chapter 1 is finished.
There's a mod that allows you to load old saves, but it comes without warranty, it might cause bugs.

It's a part of it, I think it would be inaccurate to say it's a large part of it but it is definitely present
If the girls won't be screwed by Eric, then the game will be screwed by the dev. This is the fundamental law of BB physics, proven time and again.
Well, all previous versions (I mean original unity-based ans first "another story") were abandoned, both had Eric included, so maybe he is like a plague, killing bb games. Maybe this time this plague must be just burned down to get some finished game xD

The old build was just fine. I would not worry.
The stories worked fine without him. He was just "there", sitting in his room (or on the toilet, when I poisoned him once a week), while the rest of the story took place. At some point he got kicked out and that worked too. The story arc with Alice (Eric not included) was great, the way she tried to punish Max and failed miserably very fun.
Don't worry, Alexey knows what he's doing. He does not need some shady abusive side character to make his game work.
naofumi111 I think thie "curse" of the Big Brother games are that noe one ever had a finished concept of the story and at what point it would be "complete". They all just kept going until support run out and implemented and in DarkSilvers case included whatever the community asked for without having a vision of their own. So far Alexey seems to do his own thing, I sure hope he has a plan and womt't just "see how it goes"
I don't want to go much offtop, but I wonder how many novels were abandoned by their developers.
I guess, the problem you described is not only about any of BB games, it's about development process, considering it's just (mostly) one person who may just doesn't have whole scenario vision, so they just don't know what to do to finish whole game. In addition, they may not fully understand the basic gameloop (it actually means much if we talk about sanbox-type novels). Plus, when we talk about some Japanese novels made and published, they're all made by studios (maybe small ones, but still), so if one of dev. team members stopped working, others just continue to work until the final release.
P. S. So I hope Alexey has his own vision of the story and it's just takes time to make it real during development process.

Yeah, it's a common desease. BB is just a very famous "franchise", where many people took notice.

Not more than there already are. Max,Alice,Lisa getting punished is part of the story, even gameplay (it makes a difference if you prevent a punishment or let it happen), in the original even Ann got punished at some point. In the previous build Alice tried some SM with Max, failed however.
But I don't think that sort of content will be pushed, the game is just not about that, never was. It's about relationship development, not kinks.
We DO have some cliches in here: Lisa the innocent schoolgirl who needs to be tought, Alice the bitch who gets tricked, Kira the sexy perverted easy to have aunt, Ann the stupid mom who pretty much does whatever the plot demands.
But that's always just the catalysator. Alexeys game really was about Max trying to build a relatiobnship. In Ann's case for example you be a good sone and do chores and whatever, later give hugs when needed (after she got fired), in Alices case he tries to move forward without getting her drunk first.
Getting into the girls pants is of course the main motivator, but moving forward in the story it always becomes more personal.
