I mean, I hate ntr and sharing but there is no NTR in this game.
And the sharing content is avoidable.

I personally would jump for joy if the brief bit of sharing content was all this game had and we don't have any more of it in the future, but I'm also not going to be a dick about it with each update if there is that content (Because I won't see it as I turned that shit down.) as long as it doesn't become the major focus of the game, as that's not what I signed up for, I'm here for a harem game.
So please, replay the game and realize there is only a minor scene (which is a sharing, non-NTR scene) and is completely avoidable. It's okay to not like that and wish it was gone, its not okay to lie to people about it though, see Wheaton's law.

I won't naysay ravager, as it is a pretty sweet game.
(My only bad opinion on it is that of the 3 Lairs we get to choose, each coming with a unique NPC, one has a futa, one has a dude who want's to rape one of our girls, and the last has Chuthulu who rapes the one virgin we have and turns her into some abomination freak. I really wish there was a 4th option with just some pretty lady we don't have to kill/share/destroy)
I wouldn't say it removes the roleplay element at all, you still have choices to make and each choice leads you to different ways to gain said ladies and can lead to other nasty consequences. You can even choose not to save one of the ladies if you so wish, I still don't understand why people would play a harem game and want to choose only 1 lady but hey, that's their thing and I can always choose yes for myself.
I don't think just ripping off mechanics from other successful games is the way to go, obviously Desert Stalker is its own thing, with it's own setting, and has a growing fanbase. Getting inspired by though is never a bad thing, so long as you combine it with your own ideas and make it your own thing, because plagiarism bad.
You also have to temper what makes sense for the setting with what people would enjoy playing.
I mean, by setting alone, it would totally make sense for another, more powerful person to come into MC's house and take is women as the bad guy's own, this would be fealty to the setting but would absolutely see a mass debarkation of fans, me included.
So there has to be a balancing act with the story and making the game fun while paying off that simple original premise that drew so many people in: You are the Desert Stalker, and you take what you want.

I didn't know about the MC not getting anything in return as I didn't choose the sharing options. I had heard from this forum that you can choose either the daughter or the slave to do it.
I don't like the scene being in there either, my personal opinion is: What's mine is mine, sharing someone you love or lust for with another man is just courting betrayal as any man who'd want to fuck one of your girls would want to keep them, why give a free sample? That and watching alot of couples self destruct because they added in swinging/open relationships to the mix. It can be done, but oh man is it perilous. But then again, I don't get the swinging culture. Nobody else touched any of 'my' girls in my playthrough.
I'm not a fan of NTR either. And I don't play VNs where I can't avoid it.

1) I am starting to develop the theory that I should just ignore any comment that includes the phrase "beta cuck" because the words are used almost exclusively by people I will disagree with on a fundamental level. Its overuse kinda brings up a parallel with the use of the word snowflake, which to my experience seems to be the favourite insult used by people who actually tend to reveal themselves being the biggest snowflake in the room.

I DID ask to remove 2 reviews, not because they were 1 star... because we're confident enough as individuals and as devs that we can take the occasional 1 star rating (in fact I think there's at least 1 or 2 others that we did leave alone)... but because they were a blatant misrepresentation of the game, its content and its themes. If one of those was yours and you want to leave us a 1 star rating, go right ahead and do so.... but as a reason, write next to it "I didn't like the game" or give us a solid, and true, reason for it in the written part of the review, something that is an actual coherent thought and we can use to improve the game... I'll promise to leave it alone, unless, again, it's full of lies.

We can agree that even seeing a second dick in the scene might trigger a negative response in some players, and you can be one of them. If that's the case, by all means, guide the scene so that that doesn't happen, or block that kind of content outright, or... indeed, don't play the game.
However, do not come and tell me that these scenes make the MC a little bitch and the existence of the scenes in and of itself is enough to utterly ruin it because "ntr agenda" or some other analogue, because if that is your takeaway, I have to question your judgement and you capacity to understand scenes more complex than "see pussy+have MC fuck it=success!" and in that case, yes, this game is not for you.
P.S. disliking and even shitposting on a game or a dev, is one thing... actually wishing financial failure on someone just because they did something you didn't like, that tells us more about you than I frankly wished to know. Talk about big time beta energy...

The scene ends with the MC promising Kateryna a tour of the city. Given the nature of the game, where do you think that will lead? The game is in development, and you can expect Kateryna to show up again. The fact that MC didn't get it from her right away in some sort of mental arithmetic you're doing is irrelevant. If you can't contemplate a longer game than the instant gratification, I suggest you go watch porn instead of playing games that actually try to tell a story. have you take part ownership of the story we're telling.
b) The queen leans in to kiss Shani.... That's all that happens, and it's not forced in any way. If YOU the player decide to reciprocate the kiss, can you really point the finger at us when you could just as easily have decided not to? It's literally 1 click and entirely up to you.
c) Gasmask Dudebro is either sent packing by the MC if he doesn't want to share, or he gets half a BJ, is left blueballed halfway through said BJ and is then utterly murderized by Kyra about 10 seconds later, for disrespecting her sister... the whole thing explicitly presented as an educational exercise in humiliation for Asha. He is a prop, nothing more, something the MC uses to teach Asha a lesson.
The scene, either way you play it, ends in an incestuous threesome with MC and the 2 sisters. The pecking order is very clearly established being MC>Kyra>Asha>Dudebro, with a 100% chance for Dudebro to die a violent death. If you don't see how this is very clearly a domination game where the MC is absolutely on top, again, that is on you.

Not going to lie, I COMPLETLY mind-blanked on the Dude-Bro existing because I told him to get fucked and he promptly did courtesy of Asha's new claws.
And the slave only happens if you allowed sharing content, for me Emilia just showed up and refreshed our drinks while I was getting a BJ. Now, that's not saying I'd of rather appreciated her joining Ain on me instead but.... that's another story entirely.
So there are 2 sharing scenes (3 technically but only 2 happen if you want them to) and both are Avoidable, not just optional. I can see your point that those sharing scenes represent ALOT of developer time which a lot fans would of preferred had been spent on scenes for the MC instead.

I am basing this on the fact that I played the entire game from the beginning with this update as it broke my saves so overall, it felt like only a minor effort went into Sharing vs MC content, so that may have skewed my perception of Dev time Spent.
Though I will point out, Cyn did not say it was going to be a 50/50 split, he is examining your argument under your own presumption and trying to explain why you would be wrong to think the MC has no power in these situations.
I will say though, it is completely useless to explain it away or try to rationalize why Sharing is a power move by the MC in this situation. For those who do not have a sharing kink or voyeurism/exhibition kink, its just gross and to a lot of Doms completely anathema to D/s. No justifying in the world will change someone's opinion if they are dead set against sharing their Lover/fucktoy/onenightsweetie.

Do you know how much development time will be spent on sharing content going forward? Because if this will be a heavy theme of the game, then its best for people who dislike this content to get out now or let a few updates in a row add up because those who dislike this content and disable it are only getting a 1/2 sized update if it will continue in the future.

The extra renders that were relevant to that content were about 15 out of the 750 the update contained. Soooo about 2% of the total rendering time (which is the biggest time sink). So not exactly a lot.
Edit: In any case, it's not a quota to try and meet. There's not a defined goal of "each update should contain X amount of Y kink".
It all depends on the scene itself. If the scene allows for leaning into certain kinks (and that's not only relevant to sharing but other things as well), it might contain it. If not, then it's not there.
So trying to quantify things like that would probably be inherently misleading I'm afraid.

the size is marginally relevant in terms of time spent on it... so far 14 panels have been drawn with content in that direction.. from a total of 720+ panels for that update.. so... do the maths (it's hot and I'm grumpy so I can't be arsed to do it for you
).timewise, the variance really is not relevant because the variance is part of a scene that we need to plot and draw anyway, just a fraction of it. I take anything between 30minutes to 2 hours to write a scene when I'm in the saddle, so to speak, and more often than not Zetan himself writes the scenes he comes up with as he renders, so it really comes down to inspiration of the moment and drawing something he likes. You can remove the sharing part of a scene, but the scene is still there... you're missing out on a few panels and lines of dialogue WITHIN a scene, not on an entire scene, so the whole 50/50 thing is definitely not true.. I just agreed with it for the sake of debating the specifics of the scene.
I am not going to give you an estimate on how much production time will be "wasted" on scenes or panels you might end up not seeing, because I simply don't know, but I expect the overwhelming majority of the scenes are still going to be stuff you'll want to see. Will there be full scenes dedicated to something you don't want? it's possible but we don't know. We try to craft the best story that we can come up with and occasionally we might come up with new ideas or follow Z's inspiration of the moment.
We have no interest in disappointing the early players of the game, who we know like it for the general tone and vibe of the MC and content.. we are also not going to be limited by that very narrow motivation if we want to expand the story a little bit..and if it ends up including scenes that might be objectionable, they will, as always, be behind a lock, or simply be playable with the options for the player to manipulate events in a way they like.
Full on NTR is not something any of the devs are interested in...so I am fairly confident in saying that that won't happen. Adiacent themes such as sharing and such might..probably will, occasionally.
That said, I do resent a little that people should feel they get to have a say (I know it's not what you're doing, don't get me wrong), over how Z allocates his development time, especially since that time comes at the back of a 40 hours day job. I understand the reasoning of "if half the game is going to be crap, I'm out." and if you ever get that feeling, I will understand you bowing out... but we're not here to try and screw people over and I think we can all agree that so far we haven't let you down content-wise. Yes, player choices have consequences, and yes, applying half a braincell can lead you to the ones you as a player prefer...and if it does mean that you miss out on a couple of panels here and there, or, god forbid, an entire scene, but the story is more to your liking, that should be a good enough tradeoff.
Comments in the vein of "oh yes, I can not click and miss out on content" makes no sense to me... you are "missing out" on stuff you don't want in the first place, and the majority of the content is still to your tastes.
The game is not, and will never be, tailor made..no game ever is.. but the gaming experience near damn is, given how much control you have over what happens in the scenes.

You're correct that WR is a brothel management game. So, no, you can't keep them to yourself.
It doesn't register as NTR with me because they're consorts who work for you, not your girlfriends/wives/whatever.
While I'm not a game dev, I'm comfortable saying that if you're worried about how much of a dev's time is spent on content you don't like. It's not much of a factor.
Just from a CG standpoint... Think of all the renders in the game, not just the lewd renders. Each of those take time. In the grand scheme the 'sharing' renders you don't want to see are just a small portion.
Then there's writing the script.
Code work. Etc....
Even if 50% of the lewd renders are one's you don't want. That'd still only be a small portion of the total time put into making the VN. Out on a limb, I'd guess tops of 10%? Maybe?

I guess it would better to rephrase it as: Is sharing going to be a primary theme which will be revisited alot in Desert Stalker?
Obviously BDSM is a primary theme and so the chance of BDSM themed scenes will come up alot (yay!).
