Artistic differences. For my taste many of the penetration scenes are not sexy, and sometimes off putting. I'm sure devs have their own ideas of what they find attractive, and it'd be hard to produce good visuals if they're not a fan.

I blame HS for that, some devs avoid showing penetration if they can't fix the clipping of the vagina (overlapping of shapes). Sometimes the tools available just won't help. Honey Select is known to have problems with clipping of the penis and vagina, depending on the assets used.

It's technically fixable and I believe there are very well-established SOPs and assets to overcome the limitations. Trying to reduce development time and cost is probably the main reason rather than inability to do so.

If Now and Then can do penetration scenes to that level of detail using just HS1, HS2 should be much easier with better results.

Maybe it is a language barrier thing. Landlady is "code" for mother for VNs. If you didn't intend that, it might be better to have some kind of backstory to explain how he ended up living with her.

Ignoring her, though, the story and such is pretty good and other than the odd phrasing, not riddled with engrish either. Good animation too, which is rare.
