Okay, I played the game, and my biggest issue is the relentless abuse the protagonist endures based on a single choice: whether to stay inside the bus stop or not. The game drags out the scene where she’s raped for what feels like an eternity before finally letting the player intervene. In the alternative route (outside the bus stop), the protagonist is still subjected to harassment by her friend’s sister – even though this character knows about the trauma involving the protagonist’s mother.
The only two lesbian scenes, which were the sole parts I found interesting, come across as awkwardly forced, stripping the characters of any meaningful agency. It’s like the game is saying: ‘Here’s your “representation”, but you’ll get it only through coercion.’
I’ve always avoided games tagged with rape and blackmail, but some titles at least let you skip those interactions. This one, however, seems built entirely around them, leaving no room for alternatives. I’m dropping it for good.
On a positive note: the character designs are gorgeous, and the animations are surprisingly polished."
