This guy said he doesn't do it for the money; he's just not having fun anymore. Well, if that's the case, can someone buy the rights and complete the game? Sell the rights so someone can complete the game.

The problem with that is that it will absolutely lack the original author's unique vision and touch. So while someone else could basically "finish it" as a secondary developer, it simply wouldn't be the same. You might think that sounds a bit childish, but it's true. Just look at the new Star Wars movies compared to the old ones, for instance. Different writers caused the tone to shift and change so drastically they were only barely superficially related to one another.

It just isn't possible to have a seamless transition from one author's input on a work to another's.

How do you know another dev can't continue? What exactly is so special about this story anyway? It's the most cliche shit I've ever read. There's nothing really setting it apart except for the loli shit.

You are right. Another author will have his own vision, but who said it will be bad? For example, "Personal Assistant" only became better for me, when game switched to black heart.
