December 12 Dev Log:
The new PC is such an improvement I can now see the faint veins on Lily’s titties that I forgot I added over a year ago.
Anyways, my past concern about mixing renders from my old and new PC are unfounded. It’s not breaking immersion as I thought. So I’ll be using the new PC for the remainder of Act I.
This is exciting because it’s one more bottleneck I’ve eliminated:
- Images: Rendering 1 image has been reduced from 30 minutes to 1.5 minutes.
- Coding: No more copy-pasting over and over. Less bugs.
- Workflow: I can write in Ren’py scripts and directly update the game from my phone.
The last major time-consumer is posing scenes. There’s a lot of methods I could use to speed things up, but ultimately this will likely remain the biggest bottleneck.
Anyways, as exciting as this is for me, I know that v0.10 release is the thing everyone is most eager for. And it is coming, soon, very soon.
