They aren't very "spicy".
I always thought it was too bad there wasn't a loser Robert route because I think that's just the only way to make him interesting. I wouldn't really call it a "cuck" route since there's no actual relationship but Robert and Ian are already set up as a colliding antagonizing force with Lena as the "prize." Even semi-confident/competent Ian's are better than Robert in pretty much every way.
Not only do they fight (twice!) but their dates and interactions with Lena are generally right near each other (like same day or next day). In each occasion, Lena remarks how much more she likes Ian than Robert (cause Robert is boring).
A chad, or even normal, Ian has got the bigger cock (slightly longer but noticeably girthier says Lena), more compatibility with Lena, is better at sex (particularly oral), has actual career goals and a real money making career*, is smoother, better at dirty talk (the route where Lena hates Roberts dirty talk is pretty funny), etc. etc. Like it's all there but nobody ever reflects on the fact that in these routes Ian is so much better than Robert. After the second Robert-Ian fight, if Ian wins and is generally dominant, Lena describes her relationship with Robert as "a guy I sleep with occasionally" even if it's only happened once and it was not a great experience. She could have been continuing to string Robert along (refusing to sleep with him and refusing to sext with him etc), where he acts like a sad sack and Lena still describes him as "a guy I sleep with." It'd be a great place to just emphasize how much better Lena thinks Ian is than Robert and that she stopped sleeping with Robert specifically because of how great Ian is. It'd be a really cool way to get some "cuck" fetishes into a dominant route (I'm using the fetish loosely here).
Cuck Ian routes are much better filled by guys like Mike or Axel than Robert too. So it feels like Robert's only effective purpose is to be "cuck Ian" of a dominant Ian route if Lena decided to engage in a casual relationship with him. But even then, it is not a particularly fun experience. This concept is kind of there in that Lena does say things like "Ian is much more sincere than Robert" but they're really quick and never really expanded upon.
*This is really only assuming the game is not set in the US. Career waiters at high-end restaurants in the US (like the Yunalesca seems to be) can make crazy amounts of money. A first year waiter at the type of place that has a sommelier (and serves expensive wines like the ones at Yunalesca) but is not a Michelin star place can still easily make in the 80-90k range and making up into the 200ks is not unheard of for successful head waiters who have been doing it for a bit. I dunno about high end waiters in other parts of the world where tipping is less common tho.

Robert feels completely pointless given Lena by default makes it very clear she finds him very off-putting and wants nothing to do with him. But then suddenly you get option to have sex with him without any buildup and it's like... "but why would you even want to?" Dude has literally nothing going for him.

He's just not likeable at all honestly.
Even in a route of Lena solely sleeping with him I just laid on the skip button because he's so boring.
That the problem with Robert, he has zero redeeming qualities, in comparsion to Mike for example, he is worse in bed, has no personality, has no kink like Mike(has gf cheating), nothing to spice things up, all he cares about is scoring with the model, Eva should have given him either good personality or associated some fetish to him to make him relevant in any way, when even protagonist without your input says that Robert is nothing special, why even bother with him?

One of the scenes where Lena ends it with him and gives the “I thought there was more between us!” or whatever shtick I was thinking to myself holy crap this guy is the worst. This is the only game I can think of where such a character exists.
I will say I’m curious as to what his endings are exactly when we get there.
The game tries for realism, so that why we rarely see something like that i guess, he is just too average imo, every other love interest has something to them, even boring Holly has "i'm new to those things and want to try stuff" shtick, Robert is just a dude and a pretty dense at that too.

Hell you know what would help Robert? Not having a generic look (not a knock on the artist or whatever). I probably think it because i’m in the camp that doesn’t care much for the typical “fuck boy look” like Robert, Mike, and Axel but he just looks bland (again not a knock on artist).
Its just every porn game has "Holly" its not like she is bad in any way, i bet she is more developed then most of others "Holly's", i tried her Ian route recently and its just does not compare to any other love interest he has imo, so i just go for someone else as him, Lena/Holly is alot better imo since in terms of lesbian relationship you dont really have much of a choice.

Well even with that id say Holly is my 2nd favorite relationship overall for Lena, considering again most of her male options are the typical fuck boy route (I will say I did like her scene with Jeremy when she woke him up), I’ve been waiting for something to happen between her and Ed in the mean time all my money is on Stans name.
I wouldn’t see the problem in making him a lonely older dude thats a loser that Lena feels bad for (in the process, a sub) or something. Id say a younger loner but we have Stan for that already.
For sure, Lena options outside of Ian(wich is not my cup of tea, but in terms of "healty" they can be pretty good) are either boring Rob, cheating Mike(his scenes are pretty hot tho), Jeremy that is obviously fetish route and not really "love", Axel that forces himself on you even if you are just friendly to him(without horny dreams and stuff like that), Stan scenes are fun for sure, but i cant take him seriously as a love interest only as a fun addition like Jeremy, so if I do a normal playtrough(without going too wild) i just go Holly as Lena, Ian on the other hand has pretty normal relationships outside of Minerva(even she has real love rouite in the future since we got our first "heart" dialogue with her recently).
It would be more interesting if Robert was more into "be nice to me or you lose your job" then it would make more sense to sleep with him if Lena is desperate enough.

Lena's paths all take long buildups. She can have sex with Ian in chapter 4, Louise and Mike in 5, Jeremy and Holly in 7, Seymour and Axel in 9. Ian has Alison and Cherry in chapter 2 already so Lena needs someone to fuck early in the game, hence Robert.
He is supposed to be a lesser Ian, a 'bad' option for Lena, without him she would feel even more railroaded into a hooking up with Ian.
Now, after most of her paths have opened up for Lena, he is indeed pointless. So he'll fade away simply by not showing up any more. He actually has a scene in chapter 10, you only get it if you get in an argument with Ian and didn't go for Mike.

I'm pretty sure it's Mike who is designed as "lesser Axel" -- Lena mentions multiple time both of them make her feel similar (Mike is just a little more playful), both cheat on their girlfriend, they fuck her similarly, they (can) work with Lena in creative field (Lena was Axel's model, with Mike she can collaborate on making music) and now in episode 10 Mike shows he has very similar anger control issues that Axel has shown, when he completely disregards Lena's wishes and instead gets all incensed and aggressive with Axel because he feels personally slighted.
In fact the thing am most interested re: Mike is how Lena will deal with this new side he's shown her, given how allergic she was to her other boyfriends acting in such manner. I'm curious if the plot armor will still defend Mike in this situation like it usually does, avoiding to address it, or if it gets some actual attention.

I definitly agree about "lesser Axel", but i doubt he will become "obssesed" in the same way.
I will be honest, i saw plenty of situations like that in real life and not a single time a woman saying "stop it" worked, dudes always fight, i dont think Mike is that kind of guy, Axel has some real mental problems on the other hand.
So i think it will be ignored, the scene is a bit railroaded, Lena is always overreact there no matter if she is on drugs or not.
Honestly, it would be funny if Axel character the way he is now because of some gear he takes to look that buff, but i'm not sure if Eva ever mentions stuff like that(or is aware how it works , in GGGB she describes Jack as if the dude is natty or something), but it would be refreshing if Axel rage and obbsessive behaviour has something to do with some steroids messing with his aggression level lol.
