i don't think she's decided to do that because of the "whiners" but she's releasing it parts because she feels guilty and doesn't want to make us wait anymore....
I'm crying ? no you're the one crying i'm just laughing... and if it upsets you so much then just don't play it and wait for Lena's part like a good boy. why are you blaming other people ??

boomer !!! hahahahah nope sorry i'm just a young guy with cancer.
> You crying
> NOOO IT'S NOT ME ITS YOU CRYING!
Good line. Keep pretending it works:LOL:
Who says I'm an upset? Splitting a game where the gameplay is based on two main characters is a bad idea, don't you understand that? They are story-bound together, how will they interact? Will it break history? Of course I will play this Part 1 and see what she has in mind for Episode 10 and how it all works.
Okay, so who is she feeling guilty about? Because people were rushing to release it. This "where's the update" circlejerking is going here on F95, I think it's the same on her Discord.

go back and read the status report, she said "I hated feeling i'm taking too long" "i always feel like i'm lagging behind" "you guys deserve some content", it doesn't seem to me that it's because of the crying that she split it. so don't jump the gun and start pointing fingers.
I never said it was a good or bad idea i'll just have to wait and see, but i do feel relieved after reading the lastest report because it proved to me that Eva still cares about ORS.

Very similar to

It seems to me that everything is much simpler. EK is afraid that due to such a long pause between updates, patrons will simply start to go away.

p.s. i guess my message will be deleted soon, because some people here like to complain about someone else's opinion :censored:

Good point. In these months, how VN player, it’s better sustain fresh devs with ideas and frequently updates.

But unfortunately, quality of EK games is unattainable for fresh devs. After getting acquainted with GGGB, i never found a better game for myself. :HideThePain: Even ORS is a few steps lower than the first EK game, even though the new game has a gorgeous art.

Very sad to see this voyage "stuck on the rocks" with so little new content. I still stand by what I posted a year ago. The game would have been far better off if scenes were just independent of each other. No need to wink in Chapter 3 to get a BJ in Chapter 9 or whatever. Just have the player choose during the scene. Label scenes if you want ("a Lena & Mike Scene) Then the development would have been so much easier as the game went along, and the game would have advanced this year.

I've gotta agree with most peoples opinions on splitting the next chapter in half. It's a terrible idea, imo. This seems to be a new trend for VN's. I've seen it done in several games, and for every single one of them, the game got worse.

In the beginning you get entire days, episodes, chapters or whatever, where everything is fluid and connected, then suddenly the content is cut in half just to provide something for the supporters more frequently, while on the other hand slowing down on overall development speed. Then, instead of releasing half a day, half an episode, half a chapter, it's turning into even less, but again slightly more frequent updates in return, just to try and reduce the amount of time supporters have to wait for a release, while the overall development speed is slowing down once again. At some point you get event-based releases, which in the case of ORS would probably translate to 1 ingame-day.

This can ruin a game entirely as every release provides less content, less time to immerse yourself in the story. And it's not just that. Updates can be choppy and rushed, potentially feel completely disconnected to the previous or following ones, almost like you're playing multiple mini VN's with the same characters, not one whole game. This affects the creators aswell, as they are now focussing on small updates, making it harder to actually follow their own vision of what the game and it's story as a whole was supposed to be.

I'm not saying that's what ORS is turning into, but it seems like Eva's made the first step in a direction which's sole reason is to please the so called screamers on her Patreon page. If it was for a different VN I had said sure, atleast some content instead of endless months or even year(s) of nothingness, but I think for Eva and ORS that's not something I'd personally want to happen. Atleast not yet, as I'm still hopeful for this great game.

I hope it's just this one time, because it seems even on Patreon people are mostly against it. I'm not sure why Eva believes that this is what people want. I mean sure, there's probably a handful of supporter who love this idea, but it's not benefitting the game, at all. Yes, development has been really slow, but this can't be the solution.

If splitting the routes into 2 separate releases will decrease wait times and more importantly help her manage the workload better then I say it's the right decision. I think it seems to be Eva is increasingly finding it harder and harder to put out each update. So, I say whatever she needs to do to move forward and not constantly getting overloaded and writer's block is a good thing

She already has a colorist for the art. I have the impression that Eva's biggest problem is writing. She needs a good writer to help with plot points where she's stuck and give fresh ideas.
Well, given the amount of art that is growing all the time, she needs another visual master. This is a 2D game and unfortunately the rendering computers are powerless here, as in many 3D novels.
And so I agree with many, the decision to split the game is bad.
With how much she's admitted to struggling with writing and the constant going back to redo things I would agree with your assessment. I don't think it's the art itself that slows down her production rate, it's the writing. I think the struggles in writing comes from the incredibly complex plot she has made for herself and the dual protagonists. I know she set her sights high but honestly I think she could've used a lot of the simple fetishes/plots from GGGB as inspiration instead of getting so caught up in wanting ORS to be "better" and "unique." Those goals weren't necessarily bad but it seems she's pushing it too much. Like her changing the Billy character and other dialogue changes to differentiate it from GGGB and tone down that particular fetish from other games when imo it wasn't necessary and created more work where she could've simplified it.

Wether you think splitting is a good idea or not, I'm now happy to see that Eva is aware of the situation and afterall has a strong will to deliver. If we are on this thread after 1277 pages it means that we all really like the game. We can debate if it takes too long or not, but the most important thing here is that the game ends up finished while maintaining quality content.

its most likely a business decision. If you go to the graph website, you'll see that since Nov 2021, she started losing patreons, it spiked up on April when the remaster released, but has since been gradually decreasing again. Whether you like it or not, eva needs to make money to continue, and if splitting it is the way to go, then so be it.

It all started with this "Remake"..
The content she provide was so little compared to time she spent for the update. I believe that Eva used that time to motivate herself.
I don't feel the desire in her to make adult games like she used to for GGGB. I don't understand why Eva is trying to make everyone happy because there is no logical explanation of "2 MC". That's just a lot of work and risk. The deeper you dig into the game, everything becomes more complex. Update takes longer.
At this point, she can't go back to 1 MC like she did in GGGB. All we have to do is wait and pray. Because V11 will take more and V12 will take even more time and so on.
