Outstanding mod. Love being able to see accumulated stats...
Not sure how difficult it would be to add, but would be nice to track/see the stats for a few other accumulating variables like Ian's "Chad" level, Lena's "Posh" level, Holly's "want to be like Lena", interest in Cindy, etc.

Can I get the installation instructions here instead of on Patreon? I can't go there, I can't pass the human verification...o_O:sneaky:
Install
  • Step 1: Extract the .7z file.
  • Step 2: Drop the extracted folder, strictly named "JDMOD", in the folder named "game". The latter is in the same folder as the .exe you use to launch the game. For MAC, you can find it in "Game .app\Contents\Resources\autorun" .

Check if it was done the right way
If you executed the instructions correctly:

Uninstall
You can uninstall a JDMOD by deleting the folder named "JDMOD". When I release a new version of a mod for the same version of the game, I recommend uninstalling the mod instead of overwriting it.

My save doesn't load. I just get booted to the main menu. I'm guessing because of the outdated/not installed mod? Any way to fix this and play the new version with my save?

I would think not.
The mod has features the base game doesn't, like changing names, which causes script issues, which is why the mod save isn't loading on the base game. I have the same issue.

The only way to "fix" it would be to use a save from the base game, without the mod.
After unzipping the base game, there's a folder (RedString-1574621830) with some save files in it.

well in the op it says
"TLDR: Yes, the mod is forward compatible. Install the mod, load your modded save and play.

If the mod is in its FINAL version, it will switch to the unmodded version automatically upon reaching the end of the modded content. "

for me I don't see the new content though it just stops at the same place as last version. So not sure if I did something wrong, am misunderstanding something or if it's just bugged somehow.

When it comes to the In-Game Guide, the JDMOD works as its own version of the game to prevent issues with saves. Therefore, loading a save made without the JDMOD will use the unmodded (without the In-Game Guide) version.
I don't know. I read this to mean the JDMOD works on it's own "script", and that script has not been updated, yet, which is why it ends. If you load an unmodded save, it might work.

mod's old saves loads normally in last update (Chapter 13.3.1 Alpha).
Are you saying a mod save is loading normally in the base game?
Not mine (I changed names and not deleting the persistent file...lol). The mod save won't load in the base game, and adding 13.2.2 mod, the game cuts off, as the above post mentions.

I'll just wait for the mod to update... :ROFLMAO:

oh, another issue might be that ch.13 isn't "final" yet. So, the mod script is stopping instead of jumping to an available, unmod version of ch.14...again, idk, just speculating...

The new version (0.13.3.1) was just released on Patreon.

Sorry. I uploaded a fixed version (0.13.2.2b), links are in the OP.

I've been having this issue since Chapter 11 when the game dev started to divide each chapter into multiple parts (prologue, part 1, part 2, epilogue, etc...). I can't predict the name of the label to jump to for the following version.
For players, the only solution was to load the end of the previous chapter, switch to unmodded and play the last chapter again OR wait for me to release a fix.

I've tested a solution that wouldn't require me to upload a new version to fix the issue. It'll be released with the final version.

Just curious. Does this still work with the new game version? I'd like to use it if so. Usually they don't, but rarely they do. So want to make sure. Thanks!
